Bart's Bards is St. Bartholomew's amateur theatrical ministry. Its purpose is "to promote Christian fellowship through the performing arts." The group consists of a commission of parishioners and non-parishioners, with backgrounds in producing and directing plays; and an Outreach Ministry, whose purpose is to bring entertainment and enjoyment to retirement and nursing homes. The Bards currently produce one big show a year, usually during the summer, and usually a musical. For information contact Margery Sowell at (513) 522-1902 or Fred Hunt at (513) 266-6755. We encourage you to join us for worship if you are looking for a home church. Visit www.estbarts.org for location and mass times.

East Side Players auditions for Once Upon a Mattress

While Bart's Bards is currently on hiatus, it has come to our attention (via former Bard Jeanne Huddleston) that the The East Side Players Community Theatre Group is holding auditions for an August 2012 production of Once Upon a Mattress. This may be a good opportunity for Bards to keep active in community theater during the Bart's Bards hiatus year. Their auditions will be held this Sunday, May 13th, 2012. Full details are on this flyer (.pdf file).

Added 12/15/2011: The 2006 Bart's Bards performance of Beauty and the Beast is now available on DVD! Full details here!
